So back in the day... during the industrial revolution, there were no labor laws, no minimum age, and no minimum wage, no unions, people were rich and business was good. What happened to all that? Well the government came along and ruined it by putting regulations on everything.
So then what happened?
The jobs got shipped over to China where there aren't any such laws so things could be made cheap, and sold at overly high prices. So what needs to be done? Well we need to get rid of what screwed things up in the first place, labor laws and if little johnny gets his hand caught in a machine, oh well, we'll get a new one, we have the money now because of all the bank we're making here in the U.S. of A.

I agree. Let the system derail itself and destroy the earth. BP was unregulated and look how great that turned out.
Totally agree. The government has its hands in wayyyy too much. Let the people live, I say.
I think little Johnny could benefit from a new hand anyway. With all the tech and medical advances it would probably be better than the original.
Yeah, we've got a lot of stupid labor law in this country, I'll agree. We used to rock and now China gets all out jobs. Hell, my dad retired from farming and factory work a couple years ago. Just about a year after he left the factory it was shut down and all the jobs went to China. It was a shame to see really. The factory was in a small town and it really took a hard hit when that happened.
I love this blog
Everything on larger scale is manufactured in china, and marked as made in 'whatever country except something in Asia'
That's a solution for the problem, but I don't know if it's the best.
Who needs child labor laws or minimum wage anyways?
So true. These regulations slowly brought it to the way it is now.
Well if you think the way of life in China has one up on the western world then..
the problem isnt government involvement, its government corruption
Um, are you serious? These labor laws are here for a very good reason. Children are not mean to work around machinery 20x their size...this isn't even worth my time.
sorry but that won't work dude... kind of a really messed up view of things you have there
This is a very serious issue that the government of U.S and China both have their eyes on. It surely will change gradually over the course of a few years, in one direction or the other.
i like the pictures !!!
interesting theory...
Couldn't have said it better myself, nice post.
I cant believe some of you agree with this, such a sick world...but that's why I love it!
good post, i agree
very interesting read
Great blog here, gets me thinking.
get rid of unions first of all. They serve no purpose in modern society. If your 5 year old gets killed in the loom machine I think you got a lawsuit there. In todays litigious society no use. The second problem is the emphasis on college. All that gives you is a useless service profession. Skilled trades and crafts are more important than services. We cannot do anything for ourselves anymore.
logical and completely agree with scottd.
unions have no use and really in my opinion only sparks laziness
unions used to have an objective. laborers WERE abused but not anymore. get rid of them
I agree totally. First, get rid of the unions. They just do harm for the common worker.
I agree with scottd, there's no more skilled trades and crafts ppl around, wich is bad, the govs should encourage ppl into those areas
Strange idea. I think, you should think of smth. more reasonable.
COuldn't have said it any better.
seriously, this needs to happen
