2012: Government Hoax

So I was taking a look at my Mayan calender and I noticed something, no where on it does it say that the world is going to end in 2012, in fact there aren't even any dates on there and no where on it does it say December 21, 2010, they didn't even have the same calender system as us. So how the hell did we get that date out of a bunch of pictures carved into a rock...well obviously we didn't, so I must conclude that It's all one big government hoax. What do you think?

lolwut.

Just because two calendars aren't the same, does not imply one cannot be translated to another. That would be like saying you can't convert from binary to hexadecimal.

However, the Mayan calendar doesn't say the world is going to end, it merely roles over like a speedometer.

1.) They got the date from a supposedly "lost" stone they can't find anymore.
2.) If the Mayans were so dang smart, what are they up to nowadays? How's that Mayan space program coming along?

Yeah...hoax all the way.

I think Maya just didn't have enought place on their callendar-stone, so this is why December 21 2012 appeared to be the last day, lol

what would the government gain by faking this? What would the world gain by faking this?
Who would gain anything by faking this?

Also, i'm prety sure the majans did not speak/write english, so it is just naturaly that you dont see any dates.

Also, there are many, many calendars from the majans, not just one. Just look it up on wikipedia.

I don't think that the world will end 2012. The majan calendar just endet there. thats all
