To those who say robots won't take over the world, I have one word for you...Watson.
Tonight IBM'S semi-artificially intelligent computer, Watson. Could this be the beginning of the end for human life on earth? will machines rule the planet in the future. I believe that what was seen tonight proves that a mass global takeover by the machines is very possible in the near future, and IBM could very well be responsible for it. So just take the necessary precautions to prevent this, and take very good care of your electronics, because one day they might be taking care of you.

Artifical Intelligence is a good thing for us. We will be robots one day because our bodies are fragile and one day we will transfer our bodies into a robotic consciousness. In the future lol.
While I do believe that, as time goes on, humanity will advance beyond the fragile, aging bodies we have now to gleaming metal, and plastic, I fear nothing named Watson.
I heard a story about Watson on a local radio station the other day. Pretty terrifying, actually.
wait, have they played on jeopardy yet?
i saw the commercial for this on TV a while back, looks like a really neat concept.
Would be cool to have a metal bodies, would suck to rust. I love swimming.
what a scary post, never heard about Watson, going to search for some info
They will, but not in the way everyone thinks
Not as scary as HAL3000! Never will I board a ship with a red eye interface
Damn got beat to the Hal 3000 comment lol, followed you
Messing with robots can bite us back in the end, the more realistic they get the worse it can get.
Skynet. I was encouraged to see that Watson did in fact get some answers wrong. Not many though.
Ahhhh the human race is overrated anyways.
I'll beat watson... no problem.
@innovations - I'd like to see that. haha
I'll start worrying about machines when they'll start killing humans !
